Speaker: Laura Sinai

Topic: Shibori Dyeing

Laura is an English instructor at Highline College and Seattle Central Community College who practices shibori dyeing at her West Seattle home. Shibori is a resist-based method, traditionally utilizing indigo dyes, where a variety of resist types can be employed to produce patterned fabrics. Learn more about this time-honored Japanese technique and how it can be adapted in modern ways in Laura's engaging lecture.

Format: Hybrid

The July 2024 General meeting will be hybrid, meaning you can attend virtually via Zoom or in-person at the Greenwood Senior Center. If you register for the in-person meeting, we will still send you the Zoom information (because, hey--life happens).
