Add a playful twist of inspiration to your quilt designs through the use of dice! I'll introduce how I use dice to challenge myself and explore new design combinations in terms of color schemes, elements of art, design principles, block orientation, and quilting motifs. Then it will be your turn to roll the dice and play with these concepts through several hands-on exercises!

Mel Beach is a San Jose, CA based quilt artist, teacher, and lecturer, who breaks away from tradition by adding her own modern, beautifully textured, and colorful twists. She loves stretching her creativity through her completion of five 100-Day Projects involving dice in addition to 100+ quilt challenges. She has had her quilts juried into quilt shows, been published in books/magazines, featured on several quilting TV shows, and currently serves as President of Studio Art Quilt Associates.
