The July 2023 General meeting will be hybrid, meaning you can attend virtually via Zoom or in-person at the Greenwood Senior Center. If you register for the in-person meeting, we will still send you the Zoom information (because, hey--life happens).

Join us for a talk by Krista Hennebury (@poppyprints) on "Aurifilosophy". Krista is a certified Aurifilosopher, having trained with Aurifil's owner/President Alex Veronelli and Master Thread Educator Karen Miller. Her lecture will cover the origin, history, production, and uses of all Aurifil thread weights with photographic samples of projects and specific threads stitched out onto quilt sandwiches for comparison. Each attendee (virtual and in-person) will receive one small spool of Aurifil thread in a random color & weight and a product catalog that will be distributed at a future guild event.

For our virtual participants:

We will have breakout rooms before and after the meeting. When you join the meeting on July 12th, we’ll put you in a breakout room, so you can chat with a smaller group until 7pm. Similarly, after the meeting, we will open some breakout rooms so that anyone who wants to hang around and chat can do so.

Remember to send your photos for Sew and Tell to hello@seattlemqg.com by 8pm, Tuesday, July 11th.

If you do choose to join us virtually, please be patient with us--we are still new at hosting hybrid meetings. While we want to make sure that everyone has a great experience, there will likely be some bumps in the road as we figure out a good setup and flow that works for all of our guild members.
